Geph does not leak your IP address! Google decides an IP's physical location not based on where that IP is physically located, but using a sophisticated algorithm involving traffic patterns from that IP. This means that if, for example, many users in China user the Tokyo exit, eventually Google labels the Tokyo exit as located in China. We are actively looking for solutions to this problem; for now, you can use Gemini from the Taiwan exit!

One of the important Geph bridges for Chinese users was problematic, causing connections to frequently get dropped. We have taken this bridge offline and the problem should be resolved!

Due to the massive Cloudflare outage, many of Geph's services were disrupted. We've already moved key pieces off of Cloudflare, and everything should be functional again.
