- 安全、隐私大大提升的登录协议: 对比迷雾通3基于REST的binder协议，迷雾通4的binder协议采用用户到中央控制服务器的端到端加密，完全脱离对CDN域名前置等过墙手段的信任。Mizaru盲签名系统也得到严谨的重新设计，完全杜绝了对服务器的信任。
- 全局VPN模式: macOS之外的平台上支持全局VPN模式，强制所有应用走迷雾通代理。迷雾通支持代理所有流量，包括ICMP、UDP等非TCP流量，适合加速游戏、上网课、（在允许的出口）下载BitTorrent等很多迷雾通3难以使用的应用。
- 全新的分流系统: 桌面代理模式中使用高质量的中国大陆网站名单，实现安全、可靠的墙内外分流机制。Android上也支持应用分流，可以选择任意应用（如微信等中国应用）绕过迷雾通联网。
- 更高的免费用户限速: 迷雾通4的免费用户限速为1.6Mbps，比3中的800kbps提高一倍！

After several months of public beta testing, Geph 4 is officially released for ALL platforms! Geph 4's core is completely rewritten in Rust, and the protocol has been totally revamped. The improvements in Geph 4 are too many to list, but they include:

sosistab:the most resilient VPN protocol on the planet: Compared to Geph 3'sniaucchiprotocol, Geph 4'ssosistabis a protocol designed specifically for resilience with the worst-quality networks. Even on extremely lossy links,sosistabuses a innovative "forward error-correction" mechanism to achieve low jitter and excellent responsiveness.sosistabis also much more hardened against fingerprinting and probing attacks by censorship systems like the Great Firewall. - Greatly improved authentication protocol: Instead of an ad-hoc JSON/REST based binder protocol like that of Geph 3, Geph 4 uses a custom request-response protocol that is end-to-end encrypted between the authentication server and the user. This eliminates any trust in the authentication channel, opening up opportunities to securely use a much wider variety of censorship-resistant bootstrapping channels. Mizaru is also redesigned to use precomputed, hardcoded keys stored in a Merkle tree for blind signatures, eliminating any trust in the authentication server.
- True VPN mode: On all platforms other than macOS, Geph 4 supports VPN mode which forces all traffic to route through Geph. Non-TCP traffic, such as UDP and ICMP, is seamlessly supported. This lets you easily Geph for previously difficult-to-proxy applications such as video conferencing, multiplayer gaming, etc.
- All-new split-tunneling code: On desktop platforms, Geph can use a high-quality list of Mainland Chinese websites to intelligently bypass Chinese traffic when using proxy mode. On Android, you can select apps to exclude from Geph completely.
- Higher free user speed limit: The free user speed limit is increased to 1.6Mbps, which is 2x faster than Geph 3's 800kbps limit.
- Much higher code quality: Rewriting in Rust has allowed Geph's codebase to be much more elegant and easily maintainable. Bugs will be less frequent and easier to fix than in Geph 3.
