JavaScript on this forum

I'm accustomed to disabling JavaScript to ensure security.

When doing so on this forum, many features are no longer usable, e.g. login, post, and reply.

Are there any measures to this issue?

BTW, if not disabling JavaScript on HTTPS sites (with TOR browser but not in virtual machines), would there be more disadvantages other than increasing Canvas Fingerprinting uniqueness?

Unfortunately Discourse heavily uses JavaScript.

The problem with JavaScript is mostly a fear of JavaScript implementation bugs causing browser exploits. I think modern browsers' "self-protection" sandboxing is typically good enough that it's not easy to execute such exploits, so the relevance of disabling JS to security is decreasing.
